Foothills Art Center—Holiday Art Market

The annual Holiday Art Market (HART) at Foothills Art Center is the premier venue for fabulous fine art and craft made in Colorado. HART is open throughout the holiday season from November 18–December 30, 2017. Admission to HART is free to the public and attracts thousands of shoppers. 

Housed in two buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, Foothills Art Center is known for showcasing diverse exhibitions in a distinctive setting. Our mission is, "Leading and inspiring the community through art, education and cultural excellence." 

All proceeds benefit local Colorado artists and Foothills Art Center programming.

The Thompson Valley Art League has been supporting and promoting artists and artisans since 1965. The first Art in the Park was held in 1966 at Dwayne Webster Park (Cannon Park) on the south side of Lake Loveland, and had less than 20 participating artists. This festival has grown into a two-day event featuring over 200 artisans.

Art in the Park has emerged as an artisan event that draws people from all over the country. Art in the Park takes place the same weekend as the internationally renowned Sculpture in the Park. These events, combined, draw over 30,000 people to Loveland.

It is also located adjacent to the Salida Aquatic Center, a natural hot springs swimming pool, a major draw in the Salida area.

The River Festival's Fine Art and Four Rivers Craft Shows, open Friday through Sunday, invite summer travelers to pull off the road to relax. The Festival's friendly, laid-back ambiance fosters discussion about art, life and more. The two juried shows feature work by nearly 130 talented artists from about 35 states. Mediums include ceramics, wood, sculpture, painting, jewelry, photography and fiber. Surrounding the shows are more than 20 set-in-nature Art Installations commissioned just for the Festival.

From great live music to rovers and more, River Festival entertainment is worth the trip. Four stages groove Friday through Sunday from 11a.m. on. More than 20 professional touring acts are featured, encompassing rock 'n' roll, bluegrass, alt country, jazz and more. Festival music kicks off with the Festival Jam from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday night.

The weekend after Labor Day, the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce hosts a juried fine arts show with artists from across the country. Historic downtown Castle Rock provides the perfect canvas for the 26th Annual Colorado Artfest, which has become a summertime tradition for residents and art enthusiasts alike. This esteemed community art festival continues to highlight the talents of more than 170 exhibitors displaying a wide range of works from life-size sculptures, to photography and jewelry. There’s a multitude of opportunities to appreciate – and purchase – art during this weekend of visual inspiration. Enjoy continual live main stage entertainment, featuring popular musicians, that provide a complimentary backdrop to this year’s program along with strolling entertainers, the Artfest Store; and a silent auction.
